Mac OS X 10.5 added some nice visual elements to your Desktop, but for many people the translucent menu bar was not one of them. If you upgraded to Mac OS X 10.5.2, you can return your menu bar to pre-Leopard opacity, and itis easy to do.
The translucent menu bar doesnit always work well in Leopard. |
---|
Hereis how:
- Choose Apple Menu > System Preferences to launch System Preferences.
- Click Desktop & Screen Saver.
- Uncheck Translucent Menu Bar.
Mac OS X 10.5.2 lets you turn off menu bar transparency. |
---|
An opaque menu bar can be easier to read. |
---|
Now your menu bar appears as a solid neutral gray, perfect for hiding the tops of Desktop images that would otherwise make it difficult to see menu names or extras.
